With Tap to Pay you can take in-person payments using only your phone. It only takes a few taps to get set up.
Setting up Tap to Pay on iPhone
Tap 'My Devices' on your app Home screen and then select 'Tap to Pay on iPhone'
Tick the box to confirm that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions associated with Tap to Pay on iPhone.
Tap 'Enable now.'
Confirm that you would like to use the Apple ID displayed, or select 'Use a Different Apple ID.'
You will then see a screen which explains how to take a contactless card payment. Once you've read it, tap 'Next.'
You will also see a screen which explains how to take a contactless payment physical card. Once you've read it, tap 'Next.'
You will see a screen which explains how the cardholder can enter their PIN if required. Once you've read it, tap 'Done.'
You're all set and ready to accept a payment using Tap to Pay on iPhone.
Taking a payment using Tap to Pay on iPhone
Select the Charge screen (2nd icon at the bottom of the Lopay app)
Enter the amount required and tap ‘Charge’
Select’ Tap to Pay on Android’ from the list of payment options presented
The amount will appear on your phone, ready for your customer to tap their phone or card.
Once the payment is complete you will see the green payment successful screen and the options to send a receipt
Please note: You will need an iPhone XS or above running iOS 16.4 or later to use Tap to Pay on iPhone. Tap to Pay is not available on iPads.
